Default Wheel offset question...one simple answer is all I need from a guru!

I currently have 19X9.5 +38 wheels in the rear of my GS400. Will I rub anything if I ALSO use 15mm wheel (adapter) spacers? I want to bring the wheels out a little bit more.

They are custom built forged multi-piece wheels but they weren't made custom for me; someone else had them made and the purchase went through at a local shop from me - this is how I got such a great deal on them last year. I am going to throw them back on real soon in a month or so and want to see if the 15mm spacers would be a good fit.

Let me know guys! Thanks!

u will deff need to shave and roll perhaps a slight pull depending on your tires and how low you are

Size tires are 275/30/19's...I have Bilstein PSS coilovers. Drops similar to Tein CS coils. Right now I have about a 1 finger gap to the fender or slightly less (in the rear)...maybe 1/2"?

I need to know how much wheel space will "safely" push out my rear wheels without any fender modifications...5mm? 10mm? 15mm? I want it to sit "more flush". I also understand that if I go with anything thinnner than a 15mm wheel spacer then I can't buy the "adapter style" I will only be limited to the spacer alone and have to use extended studs which I REALLY DON'T want to have to do. ;(

Why will I need new tires? They don't rub at all right now. Actually I was thinking of getting a higher profile 275/35's for the rear...I could use a little more sidewall for added comfort and traction when launching.

I don't have spacers yet. Maybe I can just use some washers (NOT TO DRIVE ON) and bolt everything up just to see how it will line up with the fender. Then I can simply measure the thickness of washers in millimeters...will this work? As a test fit?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Rock is a little more concerned about traction than most of the VIP crowd and may be hesitant to go too narrow on the tires.

What brand and model are the tires, as you know some tires run wider and that'll make a difference in what needs to be done to fit them.

A 15 mm would probably require a shave from what I can gather from my own fitment. My wheels are currently a little more conservative than yours and I expect to need a shave to fit 15 mm spacers from my measurements.

You could throw one on and do some measurements as a rough guideline of how things will work.

My team mate Cliff (oohpapi44) has always ran 275/30s in the back and his offset is lower than yours and he is almost fully dumped on his teins. A shave should give you all of the clearance you need to run the 15mm spacer.

Here is a pic of his car for reference,

That's just about how low I am maybe a "hair" higher...I beleive Cliff has 20's though right? I have 19's, not sure if that matters. Also, in that pic are his fenders shaved and/or rolled? If he also has a 9.5" wide wheel and his offset is say a +33; wouldn't that be basically me adding a 5mm spacer? Is this how it works? Or if he has a +28 offset in that pic, would that be like me adding a 10mm spacer...am I getting this concept right? (assuming he has a 9.5" wide rear wheel like me)

Thanks for the help!

...your 100% spot on! I don't want to go with any narrower tires (or stretched). I am looking for that "look" (but not drastic) without having to compromise tire width.

The tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE760 sports.

that's right. the 20's and 19's will only make a difference if the overall diameter of the wheel + tire is different. and yes different brand tires are smaller than other/stretch better etc. if you get rolled and a slight pull you could pull it off easily.
