Unhappy Drunk driver again

Sh#t I got hit by a drunk driver again! This time its really bad. My car is totaled. Two times in 4 months. I had just bought a ton of mods from Steve Carson to, and was going to install them next week.
Anyways if you guys are looking for parts, like the goodrich ss brake lines, L-tuned shocks and springs, and UGO rear stb Steve will have them back brand new never opened in about three days.
I hate to say it guys, but I think Im going to buy a BMW, Im done with the GS. I've got my eye on the BMW330i with all the possible upgrades including NAV or a 525 with few upgrades. Im leaning towards the 330i fully loaded.

Anyways just had to vent

Tony

How are you gonna go from a GS to a BMW. That is terrible man, everyone got the 3 series. That joint is played. If I were you I would hold out a year and get a 6 Series.

So it's not important whether you like the vehicle, only that it be more exclusive?

Sorry to hear about your accident...glad you are o.k. As far as switching over to a BMW, I honestly think you may be disappointed in the long run with either the 330i or the 525...especially the 525. The reason I say this is that I (actually my wife) own a '97 BMW 328i. To say that it has not been the most realible vehicle we have owned would be a understatment. And the 525, don't you think you will miss the GS's perfomance? Just one man's opinion...what ever works for you.

Toni, if you don't need the extra room, the 330ci would be my choice between the 330 and 525. Were you looking at the coupe or sedan 3-series?

The 330 coupe with sport package looks awesome...and the handling..*drool*

Sorry about the drunk drivers. Thank God no one was hurt or killed.

As for BMW, I would only recommend it if you go for an M car. None of them are very reliable, but at least you'll have that top-of-the-line performance. In additon, if you price out a loaded 330 and compare it to an M3 (where everything comes standard), you'll be surprised at how close they are. As an example, my lease payment on my M Roadster with 15K miles per year is LESS than a buddy's Z3 2.8 with only 12K! That also has to do with the high residual value of the M cars. Just my two cents, but especially stepping down from a Lexus (and that's what I think you'd be doing--stepping DOWN) you really should go for an M.

I own a 3 series, great car....BUT I would never buy a 330 for the over 40-45G's they want...it's just not that much more of a car then the 325i....and it's price is too close to a M3....which is that much more of a car....

I think you should find yourself a nice '99 BMW M3 That would be my choice. If not, a new 330Ci w/ the whole M-Technik package would be a sight to see. Oh, and I hope you sue the F8CK out of the guy that hit you. Drunk drivers don't deserve to be on the road.

Talking Hey Im not leaving the forums

I still own a 2001 RX300 so Im still gonna read the forums but will not have much to contribute to the GS forums is all. As far as the car is concerned its finally totaled thank god. I dont think any car can survive two high speed impacts and be repaired right.

Im just bummed out because I have about 2500 worth of mods sitting brand new in boxes waiting for installation next week but now I have to send them back to steve.

Thanks for the support and advice guys but dont kick me out of this forum yet.

Tony
