and yea I know 300 and 400 have different ones. Question would be for 300s to 300s of each year and 400s to 400's of the same

I know that the pulley and bolt locations of both the GS400 and GS430 are the same. Not sure about the plug though.

How about this... I went to a parts store on line and looked at the part numbers for my question and well the part numbers from the apart years are the same, is that a good implication of yes them being the same? (I'm thinking so)

Before you buy anything, make sure they are the same. I though 98-00 and 01-05 GS300 where identical enginebay wise. I bought a stock airbox thinking from a 98-00 thinking it my fit my 01+ and it didnt. Just make sure..

Oh and on the first post, its 01-05, not 01-95

if the part numbers are the same then it shuld be. i kno a lot of stuff throughout models for lexus is the same when they r the same year but not 100% about the change in the same model over the years. my best advice to u is to call up th Lexus Stealership and ask them for the part numbers. i kno their service n parts are dumb expensive but the phone calls r free.

^^^^^ always want to make sure it is the same. Best way to do that is call the stealership and give them your vin#, even though some model and year are the same but it might not be the same as to parts wise..Working at the stealership teaches me that not all car has the same parts. Vin # is the best way to go when calling them..

not for him joel. vin will work for him if he's going back to HIS part but it seems like he is trying to know if he can buy one from another year/model for cheaper so giving them his vin wont help.

visual pic of the plugs would also help but part #'s work too

I have a 180amp alternator for my 98 GS400 sitting in a box. I can take a picture if it would help any but that would only help if the OP has a 01-05
