Default Question regarding dash light.

Hi Guys,

I have a general question, what type of resistor can you put if your led tails is giving you a dash light. just a general question, got it at a good price and i dont want annoying dash light. so i just figure maybe id be able to get someone to answer the question on what type of resistor to use.

Thanks so much for the help

high tech and unnecessary expense (and heat up):

practical and inexpensive and ceramic keeps them cool (available at kragen):

factory harness looks like this and uses the green/yellow wire and white/black wire, one wire from each side or resistor to each wire:

easiest way for me was to pull the bulb in the cluster. resisters can produce alot of heat and cause fires if not done properly

thats why the ceramics ones are good. They dont heat up at all but then again, I'm only using them for my turn signals... The insurance tails come with gel filled control box thingies

I do not have LED tails but i do have a oem spoiler with a 3rd brake which use to display the brake light failure icon... instead of using resistors, theres a purple wire in the trunk you disconnect from the harness and Nomore brake light icon... youll have to check to see if you have blown bulbs now on maintenance but its better than having that annoying light on.

You can just open the dash board, and take out that light bulb, i install the LED lights too and the light came on, so i took out the bulb, its easy to do.

Kragen is called a few different things across the US, in your area it may be CSK Auto or Checker Auto Parts or Shucks Auto Supply. However recently they united with O'Reilly Auto Parts, but I believe they still kept their other names.

all good, can i see your turn signals and a link to the v-led turn signal bulb? even a resistor wouldn't resolve the hyper flash and apparently neither will that fuse or we they sell. so again im asking you have LED turn signals?
