this ? is really for people with a OEM nav system who have installed aftermarket audio components.
before i install my diamond D6 component sets, tweeters, etc when you install these does the nav STILL cut over the aftermarket speakers like it did when you have a oem setup. seems silly but i was thinking bout this driving home yesterday and i like it so i dont wish to lose it.

My new 430 has nav/mark levingson and xm sat. I just got the car 4 days ago so I havn't messed with the xm too much yet, but I can tell you that the nav still talks over cd's. I'll try xm when I get home today and let you know.

I have stock nav with dynaudio speakers ppi amps. Also I wired up my whole system. It is up to you if you want the nav to cut over the new speakers. or you can do what i did and just rewire it to the center speaker since you wont really need it when you add new door speakers. If i remember right, basically you can tap into the audio lines coming right out of the levinson amp in the trunk to run to your line converter and then to your amps. (i use a rf 360.2)
and the front left speaker(driver door) actually goes from the levinson amp to the nav unit in the trunk and then goes to the front door. ( this is where it taps into the line) So it is your choice where you want to tap in to the line, before or after the front left speaker line goes to the nav system. Or you can do what i did and tap into it before it goes to the nav system this way the speakers nav never cuts into the door speakers. and then rewire the center speaker to the nav so that the center speaker is only used for the nav. All of this can be done from the trunk.
Hope i explained it good enough.
Oh yeah I also ran new wires from the amps in the trunk to all doors. I strongly recommend you do also.
