Wow! Really? I thought maybe after the Nav. reads 0 miles life, I figure maybe 10 miles or so before the car dies.

Here's the longest I've gone before finally filling up.

So can anyone absolutely confirm how much gas is really left in the tank after the cruising range reads zero??

ON MINE for sure there is 80-100 miles left. u know the best way to find out? drive until it runs out but carry a few gallons with you. i have more than 80 left after mine says 0 miles and the light comes on and i just havent pushed it pasted 80 except once when i was on the interstate coming home from atlanta recently i went to 100 over!

my light came on yesterday and im still driving. just pay attention to how your driving and you can get the extra miles. i noticed this morning my light was on and i wasnt at 300 miles yet and wondered why and then noticed my drivers tire was low. sure enough i had a leak. thank god for lifetime road hazard package from the place i bought my tires.free nitrogen, free rotations, etc etc and they are 5 buildings up from my work so it is perfect for me

I don't know if I can find it in me to push it 80 miles after the cruising range reads zero, but it's good know that I can go quite some distance before actually having to fill up.

If you are not able to fill up, it could also be a problem with your ORVR system. This is your on board refueling vapor recovery system. When the internal pressure of the fuel tank increases during refueling, this pressure causes the diaphragm in the refueling valve to lift up, allowing the fuel vapors to enter the charcoal canister

I probably will. I just have to make sure it's on a stretch of highway that is heavily populated and has gas stations on every exit.

look in your owner's manual for the exact model #, but yes iridiums for your 300.

i've pushed up to 100 miles after the light came on. don't try this with city or aggressive driving though.

Talking Gas tank size

i think 19 gallons is just about right. coincidentally, i ran out of gas two days ago. the fuel pickup mechanism must be located near the front of the tank because every time i would go up a slight incline, the car would hesistate. finally after trying to reach the gas station (unsucessfully) i went up a slight hill and ran out of gas. i had to buy a gas can to put a gallon in. after that, i filled about 19 gallons.
