Default CEL Code P0705?

Is anyone familiar with this CEL code P0705 (Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction) and can tell how to solve this issue There are actually two codes that come up on the scanner the first is P0031 which is an oxygen sensor which i know i will have to replace and the second is the P0705 code, i have no idea on price of part or where to get it or how to fix for this one. Is it possible that the P0705 code is related to the bad oxygen sensor or is it isolated. All help and information is very much appreciated and welcomed. This is for a 2003 GS300 by the way.

P0705 is a Park/Neutral Position Switch Malfunction. this can mean there is a open or short in the circuit, a bad PNP Switch, or a bad ECM.

Give me a few and I will post up some test and repair info for you.

Also if not fixed immediately can it cause any other issues that potentially be harmful in the long run. Based on what ive been reading it seems like its harmless but i figure i just might be wrong on that. Thanks again.

Basically the sensor or the wiring is defective. Rarely the PCM would be the case.

Thanks where can i get a new sensor or how can i fix this. Would appreciate it if you can give me prices too so that i won't get ripped off when going to a mechanic to getting it fixed. Also is there any significant problems that it leads to if not fixed sooner than later.

Call 2-3 Lexus parts departments and 2-3 parts houses and get prices on the part. I think the labor is about 2 hour but i am not sure on that one.

Call the Lexus dealership(s) like he said. Ask if they could lower the price. Because they are all independently owned.

Is there a way to test the sensor to see if its faulty? My 06 IS250, threw the same code (p0705) had it towed to the dealer they cleared the codes and are telling me it drives just fine now, not sure what to do because the car went into total limp mode which scared the hell outta me.

I have losses power to rha seats, windows, wipers and I cannot lock the doors with the FOB. Help please.
