Default Codes

I just got my 95 LS400 the other day and the CEL popped on today. One code is P0430, which I know is oxygen sensor related, and also P0510.

I'm not sure on the 510. What's that one for?

PO510 Closed Throttle Position switch

codes are so easy to find, i think your wasting asking..... took 8sec for me to find and copy this.
Loogle is your friend. type in obd codes and the code and it will bring up like 10 sites. Usually it s on you dont even need to navigate to get the meaning a code. just sayin. next time try a search of some kind.

you should also know that p0430 isn't usually an O2 sensor code (when they die they usually bring up multiple codes for the exact sensor as well).

Go check for an exhaust leak near bank 2 iirc. cat to y-pipe gasket is a pretty common failure.

I did, and yes I know to search guys.

When I searched P0510, one thread came up. Not really assuring.

Thanks wise guy, I can get the CTP from any Haynes OBD book.

What I'm wondering about are common fixes for the code, and not information on how to search. Do you have constructive, helpful information on what the 510 may be? If not, stay out of the thread, please.

My mistake. I know there is a P04XX code that is O2 related, but now I forget which one.

I'll check the exhaust system for leaks.

Any thoughts on the 510 code?

as with pretty much all tps related codes...

properly clean the throttle body first.
