Hood latch is siezed with the hood shut.
I have searched extensively on the forum for any information regarding a work around and have not been successful. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have spayed PB blaster, yanked for about 30-40 minutes on the cable from all angles, in the cabin and also right at the latch, removed all the under engine plastic to get a better view, and removed all visible and reachable hardware but still have had no luck opening the hood.
Before I take this in and pay $$ or kick in my plain black non emblem grill does anyone have any words of advice?

Thanks for the welcome, very new poster, long time viewer. The DIY sticky has proven to be extremely helpful to me in the past. I have searched/read most all of the threads with "hood" in the title. None of them seem to capture my issue.
In my special case the hood latch is seized and the hood is closed.

Kinda the opposite problem most of us seem to have, I'm sure you figured that out searching! Wish I could help but I've got nothing, my cable went bad not too long ago but at least in that case the hood is open instead of stuck closed. Good luck. Originally Posted by jledue

Lead Lap
I am having the same issue and my battery is dead so I need to get this opened.
What did you end up doing to get it opened?
Thanks,
T
