Default Anyone installed front lip camera?

I was wondering if anyone did this or if there is a very tiny camera I can purchase to do an install. The reason I ask is because a lowered car can sometimes scrape the ground or parking stops. If you can install a cheap and small camera...there is no more guessing.

This is my concern and a the reason why I don't go lower or install lips. I just don't like the scraping sound.

LOL, plus...I can tape my ride going max speed from ground level. j/k....or am I?///

Sam, though you are more then welcome to do it one of the issues with a front lip camera is the lens will get VERY dirty VERY fast. Since rear cameras are located on the upper rear section of the car they see little direct contact with dirt. A camera mounted low on the front of the car would be one of the spots on the car that has the most direct contact with dirt, water, ect.. that is the primary issue with doing something like that. What you can do however is get back up sensors for under $100 that don't require a screen to work. I think that would be your best option. - Sam

Scraping the ground is inevitable...unless you have air or attack such uneven surfaces at an angle at slow speed.

My concern is mostly wheel stops. I have my share of stopping after my front lip hits the wheel stop.

I'd like to see you do this mod on the front lip...but I'd suggest mounting the camera behind your license plate...angling downwards at your front lip.

Try that site. My friend sent me that link. I think it's exactly what you're looking for.

the above looks good, video quality looks ok, its just rather large. I thought about getting one of the keyhole cameras and mounting it by the slats in the front bumper but as another member mentioned it would get very dirty and would need to be cleaned pretty often.

sounds like it would be a cool mod, but dirt and rocks/road debris could destroy it pretty quick

make a lexan cover for the front, then you could protect the camera and it'd be easty to clean. Kind of like the CC sensor for the LS430's.

it has a hard plastic case on/around it BUT this is justa camera and not a video. i dunno if it will post pics as it takes them. i think your really wanting a video camera not a camera that way u could see live action so you could see the driveways and such

This is something I will persue... I will get a tte lip later. I know i will smash it. Those tiny little laptop camera could work, but it's controlled by software. Damn jealous of those car pc ppl...they can do almost anything.
