Falken Ziex ZE-512 comes to mind after you try a set of these tires. Frightening in wet weather scary. Very loud road noise, turn up the stereo! Definately not for performance cars that have sport suspension. I would stay away from Ziex tires. Just as bad as some of the goodyears on the market not as good on snow and ice.

As I said, I have a set of them on my daily driver (which is FWD), and I've not had any bad experience in wet weather. We have been having a pretty fair amount since I got them, unusually high actually, and they have been nothing but superb. Of course I don't slide around corners with this car, either, but I haven't had any sliding or areas of concern. We all have different driving styles, but I would not hesitate to recommend the Falkens as a second option after the Yokos.

Yes, I realize that that's two different cars, but stability in rain is stability in rain when you're talking the drive wheels. My friends that have put these on their RWD cars (one has an AWD, too) have all said the same things I'm saying - good traction, no sliding. I'm simply relaying my personal experience, since that's what he asked for.

Wider tires give you better gas mileage? How does that work?

Yes. Stock size is actually 225/55/16 and 215/60/16. The tires you want have a little bit more side wall but yes they will fit.

Yokohama S-Drive... Great for performance and comfortable. (Not good for snow tires.)
