gs300 tires
Stopped by the Lexus dealership today (closed on Sunday) just to take a look at the GS. They had 2 GS300 AWDs on the lot. One in Mercury with black interior and the other in Glacier Frost with gray interior. I did not care for the Glacier Frost color...the color did not go with the sporty nature of the car.
While checking the car out, I noticed a sticker in the rear window stating that the car's tires would only last about 20,000 miles. The car had Dunlop runflats.
Is this because they are sport tires or run flats?
Does anyone know if you can put regular all season tires on the car that will last longer?

Because of the harsh compound of the tire (hard compound to hold up the sidewalls when deflated) the tire treadwear is like a summer only performance tire unfortunately, but that is an average count. They have the same disclaimer on new IS300's w/summer OEM tires, I was able to get over 20k with the factory summer oem tires on my IS.
