I've tried to use the search function, but I'm not getting the answer that I'm looking for. I have found posts where people have had the problem I'm having, but no one has posted what the remedy was. My problem isn't the same as the other shifter problem that someone currently has. I don't have any check engine lights going, nor do I have any brake lights that are out. I have checked those. But, I can't shift from park. I don't hear the little click sound that I normally hear when I depress the brake pedal. I have popped the tab off the emergency release button, and can shift that way. I have had this problem before, and I use to just vigorously wiggle the shifter and it would eventually shift. As the weather got real cold (temps in single digits, as well as below zero), the problem went away. As it has warmed up (20's and 30's), the problem has re-emerged, and now I can't move the shifter at all. I even tried to spray some WD40, but that hasn't fixed the problem either.
