Default after market navigation

Hi I am pretty new to this I have a 2001 GS300 with ML navigation. Can I replaced this navigation with a after market unit has any body done this an do they have pictures of the ML navigation unit out of the car so I can see how the back of this unit is wired

I don't have pictures but on the 2001+ I know for sure it is easy. Just buy a climate control unit from a non navi car, swap that in as it is plug and play. If you pull your nav screen out, there are two white molex type plugs going into the center area of the screen unit. That is the climate control wires and will directly plug into the non navi climate control unit. Then, just buy either the OEM double DIN Toyota dash kit (Perfect color match) or one of those aftermarket Metra double DIN kits and install a double DIN navigation unit of your choice like you would any other stereo in any other car. Its as simply as that.

Thanks! I was wondering if I needed a wiring harness for the stereo part?
