Remote Keyless Entry
For the remote, does it use a battery and if so, what type?
or
Does it charge when its in the ignition??
Has anyone had problems with the key not working? Such as unlocking the doors, but the red light doesnt go off or it takes like 3sec to go off after pushing the button???
Does this make sense?

Never had the problem with the red LED light on the remote not going off as soon as I release the button.
The remote takes a lithium 2016 battery I believe. Or some number like that.

Unscrew the single screw holding the back cover in place. Gently pry the case apart. Once open, depending on the year of the remote, you may have two screws to undo to remove the battery cover or that batter cover may just be snapped on. I've seen it both ways.
