Key remote unreliable - new battery
I have two remote keys, one works perfectly. The other requires several attempts before it will lock or unlock the doors. I installed a new battery thinking that was the problem as it will not work from as far away as the other key. When a button is depressed, the red light goes on and then out. Does the key need to be reprogrammed or do you think the remote is going bad? I cleaned the contacts for the battery.
If I need a new remote, is that available separately or does it come with a blank key that needs to be cut? I have read that I can program the remote myself as I have a good remote/key.

You can buy a remote off ebay and just install it into your shell... just need another master to program it and your set. I hope this addresses your concerns. If not, feel free to ask.
