JUst looked up the factory times... its going to depend on the driver, the GS400 does an acceleration of 0-60 at 5.8 while the 350 is rated at 5.7

With my magnaflos I've been pushing at least 5.2 from 0-60

It's more like a 5.4 according to edmunds.com

Saw something interesting...
Edmunds claims 310 ft-lbs with max at 4000 rpm
but autos.msn claims 325 ft-lbs at 3400 rpm
Max hp rpm's are also incongruent, just something to be aware of I guess...

I think your comparing the 400 to the 430, the 430 had a bit more torque.

1998 GS400, msn vs. edmunds

http://www.edmunds.com/used/1998/lex...894/specs.html

http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Sp.../400&trimid=-1

I wonder where they are getting their numbers from, I assumed they would just carry over whatever Lexus claimed for that year.

You have to be careful with the numbers some sites post, they're not always very accurate. You have to go to a few sites and see what they post to see if the info agrees.

GS350 has better top end and better transmission/gearing. Our engines seems to be mainly a mid-range performer. They die out a bit on the top end.

Time for some video proof. No one willing to star on you tube? I am retired from filming as a result of two failed attempts in my Gs400 vs boosted SC300's

I've ran against a stock 350 before, and my 430 pulled away from him until his headlights were in the distance... but I believe that if my car was stock then it probably would have been an even match
