I think the orange looks great!!

Give us a DIY if you figure out how to do the cluster.

I like the amber/orange conversion as well, but like others mentioned, this is one mod where I think you need to go all the way or not at all. You have to complete the gauges and clock to finish it off.

There is always a way. It just takes ambition, time, money.

Not saying this is the case if the GS, but on one of my Acura cars, the clock had a colored film over the crystal face for the color. I just removed that plastic color filter film, then used my own colored filter. In my case, the natural color was a light green with an amber film to make it amber. I changed it to blue, but had to try different shades of blue and even purple to get it to match the color of the rest of my dash.

Green doesn't associates for luxury to me. Green = econobox, why? Because when my 540 was in service, and I didn't have gs at that time, I had to drive my sis 04 corolla, green inside, I didn't like that car.

I was talking about green, as in money
The more green you have, the more luxurious things you can have.

The color of dash lights to me does not really tell me whether something is luxurious or not If a Diahatsu had the same color lights as your beloved 540, it would still be a Daihatsu, right?
However; you did make something you did not like into something no one else likes, two tone colored interior lights

I had positive comments. So you can't speak for everyone, and most important I like it. I did it for myself afterall.

I like the look your going for, I just don't think the reason is a good one, IMO.
There are a lot of members that have posted, including my self, that would like to see you complete the transformation. I don't know if I would be able to live with amber radio, ac display and green tach/speedo. IMO, I would have left alone or change to a color that would flow with the light green color of the tach/speedo.

I really want to change gauge cluster too, I will change clock and window regulator buttons this weekend. But gauge cluster is a big problem, does anyone attempted maybe to alter voltage on electroluminescent plates itself to change color? Or maybe swap them? With LEDs it's just doesn't look right, it's like illuminating dead gauges

Any ideas?

Thanks.
