Default Light Gray Interior?

I'm thinking of getting a new 2010 IS with light gray interior. I saw some of the pictures and it looks very classy with the contrast to black.

I plan to keep the car for a long time. Do you think the gray interior is hard to keep clean? If you have a IS with gray interior, please let me know your experience with the light gray interior.

Thanks so much.

My brother and sister have grey interior, it doesn't seem hard to keep clean to me. The black they mixed in the interior is a overkill to me. It just doesn't flow IMO.

I too like the look and that's why I choose the gray leather, but I already have a stain on my gray leather which I can't clean it up no matter what clean kit I have tried.

My current car has a black interior. It's very hot during the summer (I'm in california) but I don't have to worry about keeping it clean. It still looks great after 8 years (just some creases). The black interior is nice but a bit boring and that's why I'm thinking about gray interior (after seeing some pics of it) for my new car.

But Quang's experience makes me think twice...

I've got the grey interior, and it has been easy to maintain, and keep clean. Go for it!

Grey is the best color. Black is too hot. Tan is hard to keep clean. The color mix of grey with black trim is perfect. You also have black carpet which is a plus. I have had a few marks that cleaned up with Lexol. I keep cars a long time so I can relate. Buy it and enjoy.

I have the silver with light grey interior. I think that's the best combination and it looks great with the darker contrasting dash and carpet color. I just find the dark grey (black) interior, well, too dark. The light grey seems bright and airy inside (and I keep my sunroof door open). Love this car!

I have it and love it. No problems keeping it clean. I just wish that the wood trim was the dark gray in '07 when I got it.

I have an '06 Crystal White with the gray (sterling) interior. I love the gray. Is harder to keep looking pristine than black? A little, but I'm so obsessive in keeping the car looking nice that it doesn't seem to matter. As mentioned in an earlier post, just wipe it down each week with a good quality leather cleaner/conditioner. Don't let it get too dirty and it will look great for years to come. IMO.
