Default hood shocks?

hey guys, when I bought my gs it didn't have the "pole" to hold up the hood so I have to stand there everytime i open the hood.

My question is, where can i get the pole or some hood shocks that will work? thanks guys.

the car comes with hood shocks, not a prop rod. If the hood doesn't stay open itself (it seems as though you have a carbon hood, in which case stock hood struts would not work) you need new hood struts. Carson sells them, sewell sells them. I don't exactly know what to do in your case since you have the carbon hood, i think i remember someone saying something about lower pressure struts since the hood is lighter talk to one of the guys at carson, they should be able to help you out. Though i will say, they won't be too cheap...

I would think you could get pick some up at autozone or a similar store for pretty cheap, both the prop and shocks.

I think they are more commonly known as Hood Struts.
