It all comes down to the fact that you sold me something that wasn't as described plain and simple. If you didn't know it was, but it actually was then you should do something about it end of story.

How would you feel if I sold you the fender and you asked me if anything was wrong with it and I told no nothing is wrong with it all, just some primer on it. Then you find out the it doesn't mount up. And I tell you it's a used part I didn't know. Just because you didn't know that doesnt excuse you from being liable after stating that nothing was wrong with it. Now if you told me I'm not sure buy it at your own risk it's a different story. If you are a big vendor like you state that's just not how you do business.

Just for the record, I never had the intention to put you out there as a bad seller. I just read your PM and was like alright forget it, but once I saw this thread and saw another member have a problem that made me think twice. I feel that other members should be aware of this. With that being said, I'm done with this thread as well.

 

Did you read? Nate the person that sold to me confirms it is the correct item and that is what i sold. He is even willing to buy it back at his own risk!

So i am NOT at fault for anything that has happened to the original poster.

Selling new parts is diff from used parts especially when like i said way too many times over and over again that with my eye, yours and the painters we were unable to find a fault with the item.

What a guy. All I know and what he has said to me is that he knows how to play the paypal dispute game. So me being the first time user and he mentioned that i had no ppl to stand behind me to me it tells me he knows how to play the system to screw ppl over.I paid him 85 dollars canadian and i really cant resell that unless nate really wants it. Nate you can have it for 80 dollars and i will pay the shipping. That is 80 dollars US. i cant use it. He made a switch now its in my hands

It doesn't matter if you are selling it new or used. You have to stand by what you tell your customers plain and simple. If you say there's nothing wrong with it then there should be nothing wrong with it.

Hey but if your business motto is to sell people parts stating that nothing is wrong with it and your customers find something is indeed wrong with it and it's just tough luck for them, then thats just how you do business.

I know Nate personally and he is a stand up guy. As you see he stepped up to the plate and offered to resolve the situation at his cost no questions asked, thats the type of person he is. So drew just deal with Nate via PM.

I guess this is a lesson learned for everyone.

After looking at the original classified ad, the pictures could have been better.

I would have taken a picture of the front, and back and one with a tape measure next to it that shows the exact length. If that had been done, there should be no question related to size and fitment.

I know that i'll do that if I post something else for sale even if it is a standard part!

 

jesus, all this wildness has got me wanting a chrome trunk bar. im callin luis!
