welcome!

afterall, this is Club"Lexus". I would go with GS300. But hey it's all up to what you need. If you want roominess and utility, go with X5 or ML. Otherwise the GS300 is better quality, more reliable, and is overall a great car.

As for CLK, it's one overpriced coupe! I would save alittle more and get SC430.

GS300 <~~~~ car of choice, and if u can get the GS430, same thing except with Wood steering wheel and alot of power.... But if that isn't what u want then the GS300 would do perfectly fine, Keep in mind though the whether in ur area, if u need some form of winter vehicle too the GS isn't really a good car for that... unless u have another car u can take out when there its snowing.

In Canada, I would go with the x5, the 4-wheel drive may just come in handy as apposed to some rear wheel drive cars that are low to the ground.

I'd suggest narrowing your priorities somewhat first. About the only type vehicle NOT in that list is a pickup truck.

Otherwise, this is a Lexus board, so you know what to expect from most of us in a given vehicle category.

Good luck!

welcome,

though this is a LEX board, i will be impartial:

1. if you need the room, get the ML or x5(persoanlly i woild get a slightly used ML55 AMG, or X5 4.4 demo or something like that with extended warranty)

2. 02 clk, though fun to drive, too much $$$ for the car...and the new one remodeled will be out soon...if that were to happen in 03, it is still not a good idea to get a first yr production german car, too many kinks that need to be worked out

3. so, if you do not need the room of suv, GS300 is the best buy

well. what my buddy globe said...

Welcome to the forum

GS is rear wheel drive like IS, it is not the best car in snow. However, if you are welling to put on some snow tire, it is not that bad during the winter. This is what I do in Toronto. I use my 16's with winter tire for bad weather. Then in summer, I switch to my 20's with high performance tire. BTW, Vancouver shouldn't have that much snow, it's mostly rain that you have to deal with, right?

Anyway, hope you pick GS, it's a wonderful car

There are so many CLK and ML classes in Van. And also lots of RX300 as well. I'm sure you have noticed this. For SUV, I would choose X5. But I prefer seden. GS would do ok in snow if you have a good set of snow tires. Same thing goes to your IS.

I don't think Van is going to snow anymore till Dec. But be prepared for frequent raining days.
