You did it the lazy way using the spray bro. You should have used the gel. If you want to use some gel I have some if you're in SoCal, and use some "Goof Off" on a Q-tip to clean up the foggy looking spots. If you have any questions just shoot me a pm, if you're local I can help if you really need it.

(no offense Garbage, I just always wanted to use that smiley, lol).

I also do not care for all that chrome stuff some guys do to their cars (door handles, fender trims, chrome around the headlights, around the side mirrors, etc. )

It probably looks good with silver though.
I agree. I wouldn't do this mod to a dark colored car, only light colors.

That will increase your chances of blemishing the chrome. I opted to use a double-sided sponge, primarily the brillo-like side. I was concerned about ti scratcing the chrome, but no worries. Not a single micro-scratch was caused by the rough side of the sponge.

10 minutes wouldn't do anything on mine. I used "CitriStrip" Gel and left it on for almost an hour...and I did that about 3 times. I'm very particular about my car and I didn't want any issues or screw ups so I did it really slowly. I'm glad I did because it came out great. I then used "Goof Off" on Q-tips to get rid of the haze and really make the chrome come alive.

How about getting a black-pearl finish and see what that looks like? And no I really don't know how that is done.

I've seen them on some GS and yes they do look tacky, but i've seen some that can pull it off. I personally like the anti-bling grill on blue GSs.

i did this over the weekend , the slates in between is hard, so i gave up , but the front look clean, only person that will notice the black in between is a true gs owner . otherwise i left the black in between for now, the front is blinging.

Agreed, I'm going back to get the gel tomorrow. Should of got that the first time because of the slats. I used the brillo but it was falling apart when I finished the front. Any other alternative to get the rest of the gunk off in hard to reach spots? Qtip would take forever.

I think I'm just going to be more meticulous this time. I did half and half of the grill. I'm also going to take the emblem off this time.
