Sure why not. Anything to break off the coating is fine.

I agree. After awhile, I painted my grill back to flat black or something. The chrome looked cheesy. Just doesn't flow with the car

I have a black GS. It does stand out..a bit too much if you ask me.

It probably looks good with silver though.

Ah good luck with that one. I dont think anyone knows the color of the grille. I painted it flat black (going to repaint it satin or semi-gloss black). It's not as good as OEM color, but it sure beats the chrome grille I had before

Who knows.. i never bothered checking it out. I got lazy after chroming my grille. I had no motivation to restore it back to OEM. The cost of paint would probably cost as much as a grille from the junkyard

hi, i just used the paint stripper spray on my silver gs, and it seems like after a couple spraying and water pressuring it. i got the factory black color off, but the slats looks foggyish, not fully chrome yet and its kinda rough.

do you guys know whats wrong? do i need to spray it even more so i can get it to be smooth and shiny?

Before

After

heres where you can see the foggyish rough chrome slats

you guys see how its not that shiny compare to the lexus emblem nor other pieces of my grille?

can you just soak the black grille in a bucket of paint remover, what would be the end result.
