HKS SLD Type 2 (16 wire) is what the aristo uses. Check my next post for a little more info.

Let me do a little more research on it before I sell it to you for a Gs400. I know it works on the Aristo (I have an aristo swap) but I just went back on the Hks site and didn't see a listing for the 400. The ecu's will share alot of the same wire locations etc so I don't see why it wouldn't work but I dont want to sell you something you cant use.

Thanks for looking out. I am a little shocked that all the other car companies has this mod but the GS a 10 year old model we cannot find one.

I think they said it about 161mph.

Is it really 161? I took her up to 130ish once when she was stock.

Max speed is 149. You may go slightly over b/c of the road/wind. Thats what happened to me.

The Aristo TT uses a different tranny and engine than the 400, so I doubt its a swapable unit by HKS.

Even if you didn't have a speed limiter, a stock GS400 won't go much faster, your almost out of rpms and your past your peak horsepower and torque.

I know they are different but the SLD isn't necessarily "modifying" the signal so to speak. The SLD 2 can work on a variety of cars, it's not just for the Aristo. If it's anything like the type 1 then all it is doing is acting as a voltage clamp above a certain voltage except that the type 2 takes into account signals from other inputs such as wheel speed as where the type 1 doesn't but the vss signal along with the wheel speed signals are going to be the same between the Aristo/Gs models so that shouldn't be an issue. You may not be able to find a specific diagram for the Gs4 but you could most likely source the factory pin out relatively easily and go from there.

Again, I can't promise anything but all the signals that the unit is intercepting should be the same between the models. (Gs3/Gs4/Aristo)

I would be interested. I did a road rally where we were bumping the rev limiter on a consistent basis. I have the 3.76 RMM gearing and the suspension components to be at that speed. It felt very safe and stable at 130ish I would liked to have went a little higher if the occasion called for it.
