its rainning season here in socal, and my headlights keep fogging up. i took them out and sealed around them with silicone before the season came but now its still fogging, any help guys?
I think you can find them in shoeboxes and random things that you buy. You know, those little packets that say DO NOT EAT on them. Retrofitters put them inside their headlights because the absorb moisture. But there's already a lot of water inside you should probably dry it out before adding the packets.
just take off the bulb caps behind housing, water isn't gonna go int there.
I just leave it off so if it fogs up it can dry as you drive with lights on.
i found some silica gel, but i dont know where to place them. does anyone have any ideas? pictures or anything ! please helppppp ! my gs looks like its blind !
had this problem with my old 98 gs4, bought the new green tint headlights from sewell lexus to swap out but the car sold before i had the chance... the silica packets you will find in meds and in shoe boxes (small) do NOT work.. the ones those guys are using with the retros are like 10x the size of the mini ones.. trust me i tried everything back then to avoid buying new lights..SOME people get lucky and manage to fix it but most people are just stuck...theres simply a design flaw in the venting of some of the earlier runs. luckily my 03 430 has never had this problem.. on the brighter side, i happen to have those nice brand new leak free 02-05 style headlamp housings i bought from sewell back then for sale in the classifieds. sent you a pm.

hahhaaha thats effin funny. i've read of people taking out the bulbs and blowing a hairdryer in there to dry out the moisture. you should try to fix it though. moisture in the headlights can corrode the chrome off the reflectors and what nots.
