Default P1125 engine code? CEL and VSC with no pedal

I know this topic has been beat to death but I wanted to ask about this specific code before throwing money at a TPS for that to not be the problem.

Yesteday my wife was driving the car and when she pulled into our subdivision the CEL came on as well as the VSC and she was able to idle to our house because she had no pedal. I was going to tell her to shut it off and back on but was afraid it wouldn't restart.

The census on this issue is the TPS but I've not seen anyone else post this code. All my code reader tells me is
P1125 Manufacturer Control - Fuel Air Metering.

Is this the TPS?

P1125 refers to the actual throttle motor that turns the butterfly of the throttle body. Either the motor is dead or the TPS itself is not functioning, causing the throttle motor to not receive input.

If you have a digital muli-meter, you can check to see if the motor itself is working. Just unplug the motor's harness and measure the resistance between the 2 metal prongs of them motor where the harness connects. Lexus states that the resistance should be about 0.3-100 ohms at about room temperature. Obviously check this with the engine off. If you're getting some funky numbers, it's probably the motor itself. If the resistance comes out to be fine, then I would look into the TPS.

Would this still apply if I cleared the code and started the car and it ran fine with no lights etc?

It could be the motor is dying of a slow death or some sort. measure the motor and make sure all connectors are plugged in.
