Default Help with Fog Lights!

I just bought a 02 gs430 and i notice that my fog lights doesnt work. One fog light was cracked so i bought a new one b4 i tried anything else. So today i got a new housing and tried to install them but now i find out that the previous owner for some reason cut the harness off! So i tried Searching the forums but no DIY or topics on how to rewire the OEM fog lights. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know which is the negative or positive on the light bulb so worst cause i just rewire them to the cut harness.

Trying to find sockets for the fog light is not that hard, it's a 9006 bulb, which a lot of Japanese cars use for a 4 bulb headlight system (specially Hondas). Junkyard should have a lot of them laying around.

And if I'm not mistaken, polarity doesn't matter on incandesent bulb. It will light up either way you plug it in.

Do you mean he cut the socket off? If so, that's an easy fix. I fried my socket a while back because I was running a bulb with too high wattage. Just go to any auto parts store and buy a 9006 socket. Not sure about the polarity though.

no there is no more harness to plug the bulb onto, so now i just have wires. I was thinking of doing this, kinda ghetto, but should work right? Just extend teh wires and someone connect them to the light bulb and just wrap them with that plastic protected stuff. What you guys think? I mean it wouldnt matter if it looks clean or not no one will see it.

what they said: you need a 9006 socket, that's it. connect the wires and plug you light bulbs and put the socket into your fog light housing.

Just get the sockets, ghetto rigging those lights might end up with a short and fry your whole lighting system. Or atleast solder the ends so it doesn't come off.
