Default ABS sensor??

My mechanic friend was test fitting my RCA's I have for sale and now I think he might have broken the ABS sensor. My ABS, TSC, and another light that I forgot at this moment all came on. Where is the ABS sensor located? Is there something I should look for or check?

Look at your driver side front suspension. The wires that is attached to the shocks are your ABS sensor wire. Follow the wires to the the disk brake and you'll find the ABS sensor.

Here is a DIY from jefftsai:

In most cases, the wires are tugged too hard and ripped off.

Thanks GSteg
I just paid $60 for a tech to tell me it was a front driver side speed sensor. I feel like I just got ripped off. Is there anywhere I could get one for cheap? I was quoted $218 from one place and $180 from another. If anyone knows please let me know
Thanks

Does anyone if I matters if I remove the abs sensor and wire and drive around like that? I wanted to take it off tonight and fix it tomorrow, but I still need to drive around. Thanks in advance

You'll be able to drive around, providing you dont stomp the brakes because you'll be left without ABS.

Only take it out if you plan to fix it asap.

Does anyone know how to remove the abs sensor with the wiring so I could try the DIY. I jacked up the car yesterday and say that the line goes behind the rotor and looks like its attached by one maybe 10mm bolt. From there is where its seems a lil tricky...I dont know where the line ends and where to disconnect it to remove it for inspection. If some could please point me the in the right direction thanks

It is connected at the back of the Rotor and follow the path on the other side and you will find a connector which is not visible due to covering. Unplug that connector and unscrew the screws. This sensor is attached to the body of the car with a metal. Once unscrewed, fix the DIY and put it back. If problems putting it back, look on the other side of car and follow the setup.

Hope it helps.

Cheers !!!!

Don't tell me you've already drove with ABS sensor off the car leaving a hole.....

You'll get dirt inside and when you fixed the sensor later on, the ABS may come on at random when you brake, it'll basically feel like the brake suddenly dissapear and you'll drive right into the car in front unless you brake harder, but the ABS may come at you again...

I had a problem when it almost comes to a full stop then it'll just release the brakes (ABS comes on and thought you're locked your brakes, thus releasing it) and lurches forward just when you think you've got enough distance... and that's with very slight dirt in 1 sensor and its walls.

Thanks for the info, but this post is really old. I actually still haven't fixed it yet money went into other things for the car.
