Okay guys, today I have encountered a problem that I cannot solve myself. So I turn to you guys for professional advice. Here's my problem, while pumping my gas on the GS430 the nozzle on the pump would always click as if it was full. This would happen over and over again and I have to guess when it is full.
yeah somtimes that happens to me just pull the nozzle out of your filler a bit and ease the gas in at first then run it full blast. try that you should be alright
Haha, "We live in NJ, and we don't pump our own gas".
Just wondering. Since it is required by law where you live for a "trained technician" to pump your gas. Do you have to pay the gas attendant? I would be pissed if the damn state passed a law that didn't allow me to fill up the tank and required me to pay extra on top. In several asian countries I've been to such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan. There are attendants that pump for you, but it's an "assumed" service that they don't charge for. Some gas stations actually give you free gifts when you fill up. 6 or 12pack of water or soda, snacks, stuff like that I wish they do here

The price is included in the cost of the gas/gallon. It's a "full service" gas station. With that said, our gas price is still cheaper than many states that are self served.
The gas attendants are supposed to check your oil, wipe your windshields, etc if you ask them too because it's all included in the price of the gas. Although I've never went to that extent, but we had a member on SF who did that just to **** them off.
So in theory, if NJ was a self serve state, our gas would even be cheaper than it is.
I just wait a few seconds and listen for the "glug - glug" in the gas tank. When that stops I slowly let some more in the tank until it does it again. I likes to really top off so I can accurately measure my mileage.
This also depends on how new the gas stations pumps are. Some pumps are so sensitive that if you sneeze it will trigger. Some of the older ones are so worn that if you don't watch it you could watch $3+ a gallon soak into the concrete ground.
