Default Finally got my GS

Hey everyone. I'm new to the forum considering I just bought my first lexus(a '99 pearl white GS300) last week. I am interested in the modding process and have already started(kinda).

I bought the car on Tuesday than went and had the tint done on Saturday. I decided on 35% on the sides and 20% on the rear window done with LLumar by Terrific Tint in Mission Viejo. It really gives the car a classy look. Today I did a complete detail on her and a little over 4 hours of work later she looks great. Special thanks to member jfelbab aka Jim. I followed his writeup to a tee.
found here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...Quick+Detailer

I plan on putting on a second coat of wax tomorrow because she isn't garaged(just a car cover).

This is her new look:

Edit: Took down the pics from the forum b/c they are way to large. Links provided.

My next mod is going to be an HID kit.

I was thinking of this: http://xenondepot.com/product.php?product_id=142

And some new Fog's as well, but I plan to stay w/ halogen. I can't justify spending 450 for HID Fogs. Which bulbs do you guys recommend with the kit above.

For the Future:
Either 18" or 19" wheels, no drop.
I also plan on doing a complete Audio install(for around a grand).

That's all for now. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Thanks for having me,

COOP

18" or 19" without a drop is going to look like a 4x4... imho

Damn you guys are quick. If I were to drop I wouldn't want to spend too much. I have done searches and the options seem way to pricey for me.

you can buy used springs for cheap and pay for labor to install. you would pay from $300 to $400 and if these is too much than
the car looks better lowered on stock rims, than 18s/19s on stock suspention.

Didn't know that they would be that cheap. How much should I been looking to pay for labor? Also what types of springs should I keep an eye out for? Would something like these work?

it all depends on how low you want to go and how you want your car to look.
i stayed away from tain springs because the drop those springs provide will make the rear section of the car look lower than the front
if you are into that old BMW look than that might work for you. i had tanabe DF210s and loved the look. the drop looked even, althogh; it was a 2" in front and a 1.5" rear drop. search around and hopefully you will find what best fits you and your car.
labor can be anywhere from $100 to $300. some where in the middle of those amounts is the most common.

Thanks for the heads up. I actually put my order in a couple hours ago to xenondepot though. Seems like they are pretty popular around here.
