I have Blue HID head lights, but the stock fog lights put out ugly yellow light and it looks terrible together. I know there are a million solutions...and I will take them all. Please include prices, products, e.t.c. I took the fog light apart and found out that everything inside is clear or white (even the bulb). The part that makes the light yellow is the small yellow tube into which the bulb inserts. I didn't find any way to take that tube out, though.
Personally, i think the yellow fogs look really good. But i wanted HIDs out of the fogs too. I couldn't figure out how to take out the yellow tubing too, so this is the route i took -- I broke the yellow glass tubing and i shook all the pieces out.
How can I break it? I thought about it, but there is no leverage , because the opening is too small. Also, will breaking that tube effect the performance of light projection or will it just get rid of the yellow?
Sorry, my 92 LS had a metal mask over the yellow glass bulb cover. I used a set of diaginal cutters, dykes, to cut away the cover and remove the yellow cover.
