i ordered from the shipper above and he shipped it out same day.

I finished doing 3 doors and it took me 3 hours from start to finish (including a drive to Autozone to pick up some super glue)

I took the front door handle out. But wasn't bad.
The worst was the rear passenger door. I had the hardest time removing the lock assembly from it.

All doors work great now and I can finally reprogram the replacement key FOB that I had laying around. Thanks to the OP and all those that contributed to this DIY

Anyone else have as much trouble as OP getting the "coupler thingy" off? I'm hoping mine won't be that hard since I don't have access to a blow torch or press.

It's really easy. I didn't use heat/torch

I used a vise to hold the motor with the gear point up.
And as a previous member stated, I used the nail puller part of a hammer and just started to pull it out like it was a nail. Nice and slow and it came right off, didn't fly anywhere.

Has anyone ever replaced your locks to only have them not work after a couple weeks or so? Cause i have. Problem is the ring gear and worm gear gets stuck on the lock cycle, suspecting that the replacement motor is too strong and causes this mishap. I did this DIY back in May and I've frequently taken the door panel off and on to the point where i just disconnected the harness to the actuator and decided to lock/unlock the door manually. Wondering if anyone has had this issue.

Also i read on a sellers page that for our cars, it requires a motor modification. Is this true? Has anyone actually opened up the motor assy and modified it? I'm somewhat confused.... Any input would be appreciated pertaining to this problem

Just replaced the motors on my driver and pass side, the rear still needs to be done,

My problem is sometimes when I unlock the car and open the door the alarm goes off, does anyone know what could be making the alarm go off?

Everytime the car sits for awhile I unlock it and open the door and the alarm goes off

I think it started after I did the pass today

Hi Guys
I have just completed fitting new motors to Driver & Passenger doors on my 98 GS300.
Much gratitude for this thread especially TRD911 that guy is awsome.
Bought motors from ZINKY86 and they just pop right in there! No trouble removing coupling - used a discarded POP rivet shaft as a drift. Split the case using a modellers knife and small hammer ( first attempt with Dremel melted the case material). TRD911 said "Wiggle like crazy" to get the rear unit out and he was not kidding!!
Thanks again
