you need HID bulbs (pick a color), ballasts, and perhaps some relay if you're going to run HID fogs too. If you want a clean cut-off line, then you either switch to the HID-spec reflector, or you can do a retrofit of a projector into your housing (recommended)
the easiest thing would to buy a 9006 hid kit. it's plug and play so it's easy.
to do it right, switch your headlights all together with OEM HIDs(the reflectors are different). the beam will be correct so you're blinding oncoming traffic.

i would recommend buying kits that uses philips ballast and bulbs. they go for about $450-500 new and around $250-300 used.
stay away from cheaply made kits, they dont last long and don't recommend a bulb that is 6000k or higher. stick with 4100k or 6000k color. anything higher will look purple.

what i learn from HIDs are all brands are the same ( xenon, hyper, top speed....) except for OEM HID brands like Hella, Phillips, Denso. My suggestion is to get OEM ballast and bulb. Denso is what stock lexus uses and phillips are what you find in Acuras and Hondas along with some other brand. I am almost positive that Audi BMW and Mercedes uses Hella. Good Luck!
BTW. I paid 300 for my Denso kit brand new.
Oh yea...try to avoid bulbs that have 2 wires coming out ( negative and positive ) usually those bulbs are all generic brands and within 2 years i guarantee problem. OEM bulbs are just the bulb itself and the ballast has an adaptor that plugs into it.

check out xenondepot.com. i bought my setup from them. they have good prices on the philips hid kits. they are also a CL sponsor still i believe... theres a few cheaper kits for sale on their site too, non philips brand..
here is my post on how to do the oem hid conversion https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...nstalling+hids
