Default climate system

The last two mornings (a/b 30 degrees), I've started my car and my climate system works, but none of the climate control buttons light up and the screen selections don't stay lit (i.e. what the inside temp is, fan speed, ect). Yesterday, I shut the car off at a light and started it back up and everything worked. That didn't work this morning. I ran the diagnostic and everything was o.k. When I turned the car back on after that, it worked. What's up??

Which diagnostic did you run? OBD or the AC's own?

Just the system check that you do thru your radio/navigation system. Like I said, the climate system itself was working, it's just that the buttons weren't lighting up or displaying their current settings on the screen.
