Default TECHTOM ( Japan) PROGRAMMED ECU?

Does anybody know about TECHTOM ( Japan) PROGRAMMED ECU? I saw a reference about it on http://www.toysport.com/Product%20Li...ine%20Main.htm

I found a reference to the company TECHTOM it is in Japanese but if you click on this link it will go to Babel translate just pick Japanese to English. Still hard to read but maybe something.

Techtom was one of the powerhouse firms that dealt with JDM ECU tuning. Before the introduction of the 32-bit ECU with encryption for self diagnostic Techtom could virtually alter any control units and cater to the customer car's exact needs based on performance mods curently on the car. The last thing I remembered was their MDM-100 piggyback ecu. This was soldered onto the stock ecu and allowed patches to be uploaded directly or ECU manipulation via software. It had a digital readout of RPM, Speed, engine temp, intake temp, factory sensor controls, etc. This was a very popular unit utilized on Supra Twin Turbos at Under Pressure Resarch and Development (under Javier's ownership). I haven't heard too much it nor Tadashi, the engineer that was responsible for the G-Force Engineering portion of Research and Development.

I know Techtom in Japan is still around and now is subcontracted by Motorsport firms such as BuddyClub (Black Box) and RE Ameniya (I think that's the spelling).

I have did some research in regards to the Techtom working with V300s. Basically no applications for 97.8+ Supra Twin Turbo Automatics and Aristo V300s (factory automactic). I think it's because of the transmission map characteristics...

I'll keep on saying this: Toysport is not a respectable tuner nor a ligitamate business! Buyer beware! By the way, he (Joel Luz) bought from UPRD and the link you see is old just like their technology and business. The place is a HAS BEEN...

Cool

I got a reply back from TECHTOM. Here it is.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your Email and considering our products.
Unfortunately, we don't have the replacement ECU
for GS430, now.
Because the newest Toyota's CPU is hard to analyze.
We are sorry for it.

Regards,

Kenji Tomita
