another key question

another key question

I have two master keys. The one I use is losing its power. The tiny screw to open the case to change the battery is stripped (not me, previous owner). I put a new battery in my other key. The unlock feature and the trunk feature work fine, but the lock feature does not function.

Before I go to the dealer or do a re-program, does anyone know of a short-cut I can try? Doesn't make sense to me.

You can always try reprogramming the key again, erase all the previous programs from the car, I'm not quite sure if you need one working atleast for the remote part...
