Key Fob - Locks but that's it
Both of my master key fobs don't work for my 1998 LS 400.
Even after half a year now... I still long for the convenience of remote key fobs.
- The other one has been stowed away in a safe compartment for many years. It is perfectly fine in every way except that it doesn't remotely unlock the doors nor the trunk!
- One ran out of battery power, and I don't know any inexpensive place to fix the problem in the states.

its not a difficult task....all you need is a battery and a set of jewellers (tiny) screwdrivers (hell, you can find them at the dollar store!)
go buy a battery off of radioshack or ebay, unscrew the screw in the back, slide the entire back panel DOWN (i think) towards the blade of the key and it snaps off, then the internal remote falls out and you can unscrew the two screws to replace the battery.....not exactly a complicated operation now is it.
the other key is probably not paired anymore, search this forum for key programming instructions

I bought a 2016 battery for my car last night from homodepot for $4. I had the same issue with it locking only but the battery fixed it.
