Hey fellas hope someone out there can help me on this one...Started my car this morning and all my check lights lit up, VSC BRAKE VSC OFF and there is a weird buzzing sound coming from somewhere in the car. Anyone with any info on this would be greatly appreciated...

alright haven't heard anything yet so went looking at all the other treads to see if others had the same problems. Seems like this had happen to others as well which makes me feel a little better knowing that it can be fixed. Problem now is I see them all saying to reset the ecu.. I'm not gonna lie have no idea where or how to do that either dont want to bring to the dealers yet plus its Sunday and the GAMES bout to start...please if any knows how to do that. Give a newby a little info

under the hood on passenger side is a fuse box, pull out ecu-b fuse for at least 45 minutes. that will reset ecu.

its possible that its the sensor on the throttle body. It happens to quite a few GS out there. Not cheap to repair, but not too expensive either.

Usually resetting the ECU does the trick, but if it doesn't work, have the throttle body sensor checked out, or get your car scanned for codes.

If you're battery is going bad and isn't putting out enough power it might cause the ECU to go haywire. Remember, modern cars are pretty much rolling computers. If you don't supply a computer with the right amount of power, it's not going to run right.

I had exactly this happen to me on my way into work this morning. About 15 seconds after leaving my driveway (in -9 degree temperature), my parking brake light, VSC light, VSC 'off' light, ABS light, and 'skid' light came on and stayed on. I also got a continuous beep to go with the lights.

Car and brakes worked fine after the initial sluggish start from the motor being so cold. About 25 minutes into the drive (with the radio off, seat heaters off, and Nav display off), the lights and the beeping went away. Car had been warmed to operating temperature for at least 15 minutes.

I didn't reset anything (no pulled fuses, or anything of the sort). I'm guessing that this has to do with needing a battery replacement. I'll do that today and report back to let you know if this issue comes back.

Hopefully the temps in the Midwest that we're getting go away too.

Got the battery replaced. No more issues of the incident....the weather hasn't changed much; it's still cold as a nun's vagina.

However, I have noticed alot of other positive benefits. The car seems to accelerate with no hesitation (not something I noticed before until right after I changed the battery), the transmission upshifts much smoother on harder launches, seats heat up a bit faster, and the ML speakers sound a HELL of a lot better than just one week ago.
