I went into the secret menu where you do the override and then i clicked on the program button or something like that. A list of different programs came up and i guess i just had to click on something. So i chose the US in there.
Now my Navi doesnt work. Its requesting different cd. I cant even get back into the hidden menu. Any ideas how to fix it?? I tried pulling out navi cd but it didnt help.
You were supposed to press BACK on the top right corner.
I do not know of a way to reset anything back to normal... from what i've read on the forums, when you change that setting, it burns different info into your ROM. Unless anyone here has figured it out yet, your dealer maybe your only hope if your under warrenty.
yeah from what ive read b4, u might need to pay ur dealership a visit :S
try turning the car off for a few hours and then turn it on again
see if it resets
if not, u could also try unplugging the battery cables for a few hours too
but i doubt the info is written to RAM and i think it is written to ROM so resets wont do much good
only NAVI computer swaps may help...
come on guys, help me out overhere. I realy dont want to go to the stealership.
thanks
Try going to this website http://hybridcars.about.com/od/owner...verridefix.htm and following the instructions. The idea is that the ecu has a backup battery and you need to discharge this battery so the navi ecu clears its memory. It worked for me when I made the same mistake you did but I know it hasn't worked for some people. The next option is the dealer and they will probably want to replace your entire navi ecu.
