engine stalls

Default engine stalls

hello lexus owers i have a ? i have a 99 gs300 after i warm the car up and drive it around when the rpm get between 3000 to 4000 the engine stalls a little only when i floor the gas pedal seem like i'm flooding the engine with too much air or gas..i have a short air intake,hks exhaust and ur crank pulley can any one tell me what the problem is thanks

What brand is your intake? Poorly engineered intakes will actually destroy performance rather than gaining anything. That should be the first thing you should check into. Try putting the stock intake box back in and if the problem goes away....then you've found the solution.

i have a cheap intake 20$ off ebay my stock intake is gone chopped it up..wish i didnt now but i see alot of lexus is doning with srt intake is that the best out there because it come with a chip...or a weapon r is just as good input is welcome thanks

Yeah I had the exact same problem when I bought a $20 cheapie off ebay
I don't how good the WeaponR is, but it should be better than the ebay piece. I would recommend you to go with Injen since they actually dyno test all of their cars with the intakes. They cost about $250 or so but I guess thats what you have to pay for the additional research. Your next step up will be the SRT intake, but those are close to the $500 range.

I'm currently running my stock intake until my custom turbo is dropped in...hopefully by next week
