Post Installing Air Intake On Gs300

Hi guys. I have 2000 Lexus GS300. I just bought new Air intake (short ram) and I noticed it only has 2 hoses but my stock intake/air filter box has 3 hoses ( 2 goes to engine and 1 goes under my car somewhere). Can I get this new intake to work with my car? Is one hose is not really important? Or should I just send it back ? Please help if you know this or had this problem before.
Thanks.

If I remember correctly when I originally bought my weapon-r intake I had the same situation but it came with a small T (3 way) hose bracket for 2 air hoses to flow into one line to the intake.

Try PM'ing PHML or Lexusondubs,I think they have the instructions to the SRT GS300 intake.. Check w/ him and see what he did with the 3 hoses.

That's what you will need (and possibly a short hose in case things don't reach). You basically bought an intake made for an 01-05 car while yours is a 98-00.

On mine there are only 2 hoses and one hole for the MAF. BTW...the MAF is a real *****!

If you have that ebay brand one....yes i'll admit that I used that in the very beginning. $25 why not give it a shot?

Anyways it worked but I had to spend about 2 hrs with a dremel and puttin JB weld on the hole for the MAF. Eventually it worked. Required a hell lot of tuning tho....

I sold the intake to one of my friends with an IS (i wanted a higher polished pipe and real K&N that came with AEM)and I went to get an intake from AEM and that one worked straight out of the box. No problems withe the sealing or anything.

I had a spliter on that nosle that is closer to MAF, because that way it more imitates the sequence of hoses on original intake. And I ran one of the hoses that comes from the nearest side of engine, and that one that goes down to firewall into that T-splitter. BTW, the first intake I had was some BOMZ short ram, also from ebay. I never had a problem installing it, took me about 30 minutes to put it in. MAF was sealed just fine with original rubber gasket and two bolts. I never noticed any gain from that intake though, except for the nice sound. In fact it made the car even slower from the start on low RPM.
