Try e-bay. There are plenty of 9006 bulbs there from $15 to $40 a pair.

do i have to buy yellow 9006 bulbs? or just regular and they look yellow in the shell?

i'm so damn confused, I guess after 5 years and 80k later, somethings gotta give, lol

i see some water and condensation in the fogs, so i'm assuming its the water thats at fault

thanx,
If I'm not mistaken all you must do is replace the bulb which can be found at a local auto parts store? The foglights are yellow not the bulb! The bulb is clear! There is no need to buy new fogs if the bulbs just blew! Maybe it's something different that caused the outage? I would confirm before buying new bulbs or foglights!

ya maybe...i'll check it out, gotta open the front bumper to see whats up, only 1 bulb bit the dust so its not that bad, but GS is not the same without the yellow fogs, LOL

how much is it at lexus? is there any other specific brand? because the OEM is very good quality if it lasted this long,

go to autozone and get the bulbs. They'll last about the same and the cost is probably the same, if not less. Its only of those things where OEM isn't always better. Lexus probably use the same ones at the store anyways (there are only a few bulb manufactors today).

whoa whoa whoa whoa... open up the front bumper???

I thought the bulbs can easily be changed by unscrewing the two screws next to each foglight housing and pulling it out.

I almost tried this on my car last week - guess i'll try it again since i'm swapping out the screws to allen wrench screws. (it makes them more difficult to steal since people may just expect normal screws)

Lol, yea just take off the screws that hold the fog lights in place. If you want new fog light housings go to l-tunedparts.com they have them for $189 last time I checked which is actually a good price, they sell for a lot more on eBay used.

Lighting guru (me ) will explain and clear things up for everyone

The foglight housing itself produces the yellow color. The bulb is just any regular ol' standard 9006 halogen.

To change the bulb. Look at your foglights. There will be two philips screws holding the housing in. Unscrew them and the housing will pull out easily. Rotate the bulb and it will come out. Press in the clip holding the bulb in and then pull the bulb out. Replace new bulb and put everything back in reverse order.

Toyota uses either Sylvania or Koito bulbs for all their lighting. So its the same stuff as what the auto parts store carries.
