I have tried searching for where to buy new chrome bumper trim. When I paint my car I want to go ahead and get new trim. I read that is will cost around $60, but I just can't find where to buy it. Anyone know?
is there a way to CLEAN the chrome strips? mine aren't damaged or anything but the front and rear bumper strips are really dull, they don't shine anymore like the sides. any suggestions?
i bought mine thru a autobody guy its a little fatter than stock it fills up the gap and its better looking imho but 1 roll will do the front and rearbumpers and its only like $45 or soo

Those are toast. Once the chrome has worn off, there is nothing to bring it back. It's not like the strips were actually metal, where you can buff them back up again.
It's probably easier to get generic replacements.
I think I'll stop by Pep Boys tonight and see what people are talking about.
Just did mine, and got the stripe at pep boys. Theb took it to the car wash to see it would come off, it didnt. The only problem i had was when rounding the corners, u have to keep working the tape till it lays flat. I did the front and rear, i'll take pics and show how it came out. My wife noticed it as soon as i was done, and she didint know what i was doing to it. Just work it till it lays flat, i think that's the only problem with the chrome tape
I am going to get my whole car painted as well. I took off the front and rear trim, but the sides are different. The sides are not plastic, they are metal, and they look like they are clipped on, not stuck on. Has anyone taken these off or replaced them? What do most people do with them when painting the whole car?
