How much was it from the dealer? If you don't mind.

sides are chrome onto metal.
bumper strips are chrome onto plastic. also, the chrome may be thinner because it has to flex.

the durability is better when chrome is plated onto metal; perhaps thicker also.

Kharizma,

How much is 'a bit'? Is it noticeable to a Non-GS owner?

Guys,

I just had my bumpers painted and bought the 1/4 inch 20' roll from Pep Boys for $15. They look exactly like the OEM and fit perfectly. The trim already comes with 3m tape on the under side. Mine had faded and now they are shiny again!

P.S : One roll covers both front and rear bumper nicely.

I realize you can get the front and rear trim from Pep Boys, but the sides don't peel off like the front and they are metal not plastic. Have you replaced those, if so, how?

Does anyone know if this is available in black? I would love to black out all of the chrome on my car similar to the way it worked with replacing the chrome emblems with the black pearl. I am not sure how it would work with the trim around the windows. The only chrome I really want to keep would be on a set of wheels but with black hubs. Tinted tail lights are the next mod I want to tackle.
