Unhappy Hail Damage.

What fun. My perfect 99GS4 got it's world rocked. I was just wondering how much the repair whould be or if it looks the way it did before? I have insurance so I will get money to fix but what has anyone seen with the results? How much? I have full car damage moderate sized dents.

Pictures to follow.

thanks in advance

Burdolski Auto Werks ~ 913-631-6636. Ask for Steve and tell him Harley sent you. He will take care of you. He is an old family friend and has owned this shop for 30+ years and does excellent work. He does all of my work.

lol, guess you haven't seen 'Wizard of Oz' in a while huh??? That's Tornado Alley country. So that would be my guess.

Glad to hear that your only complaint was a dented car. Saw some of the damage on the news and the twisters came through with some force behind them.....

We had some nasty weather her yesterday. Over where he lives and west of me got nailed. I was lucky enough to not have any large hail. It sucks that you were caught out in that. My sisters car was beat up pretty good up in Lawrence from flying debris. You have to lover the KC area. Tornados in March.

I went through this last year with my SC. Ended up costing over $8000 to get it repaired

Damn 8K... I would take the money and have a Lexus beater. I dont think the repairs will be above 2-3K...I hope.

I love(j/k) the weather here I grew up in SW Kansas saw my share of tornados !

Thanks Beater I will keep him in mind.

Ouch. That sucks a lot, I got super lucky when I was up there this weekend-- I stayed in Overland Park and didn't catch any hail. Hail damage is the worst, I'd almost rather have a full blown collision than a bunch of little annoying bumps all over the hood/roof of my car.

oh, man, sorry to hear about that... I beat the hail last night by about 5 min... I got a call from a friend saying it was coming and raced my ride to the garage.... luckily I wasn't far from home..... I'm in OP tho so we didn't get the worst of it.

That really sux... I feel for ya... I'd be sooooo pissed!

I'll never forget watching a twister go through me and my roomates back yard in L town when I was at KU. One of the craziest things I've ever seen. They really aren't good for people's personal property, esp our "really clean toyota's".

I hope it works out for ya.

We lucked out here in South KCMO. I saw the damage all around Belton but all we got was some rain and a little wind. Good luck on the insurance bit.

There were two tornadoes that just missed me (one north, one south) in southwest MO. My Maxima that is for sale got a little bit of damage, since the two Lexus's (99 RX300 & 00 GS400) were in the garage.

I got whacked huge about 3 years ago. It was going to be something like $8K to get it repaired. There are paintless dent repair specialists from Colorado that travel the country following hail storms. They came to Jersey after our huge thing, and they were able to do it for $4K. My insurance company gave me the option, with no deductable if I did the paintless guys.

All I have to say is, I was AMAZED. I could not see any damage when there were done, even along body creases. It did take them several days to do it, so the move slow but the job was right. Might ask your body shop about it.

Man sorry to hear about the car. Hopefully it won't be a hard or expensive fix.

I guess one plus is we found out who all the Kansas members are.

My dad had one of his cars totaled by softball sized hail several years back. He was driving down US 54 when is rear window just blew out. All he could do was pull over, cover his head and sit there while his car got totaled.

Thats the funny thing about people who grow up in the midwest tornado alley area. When the sirens go off, people that have gown up here or lived here a while, go outside to watch. While people haven't lived here long freak out and head for their basements.
