Well, if it's not, then the previous owner put something on there that has lasted the last 6 months because it definitely repels water. Probably some RainX or something.

 

i say go with the aftermarket glass for $180 and buy some rain-x for $5. your insurance will only cover a broken winshield if you have full coverage.

 

How long does a squirt of Rain-X last anyhow? I try to apply it about every week after a car wash.

 

Yes. I had this done when I replaced my windshield. All my other windows now says Toyota but my front windshield says Lexus.

I am not sure about the windshield but it would be weird to do the doors and not the windshield. The above info is from the Lexus website. The info I saved (so that I can check the 00 model) is unfortunately on my home desktop. I'll double check when I get a chance.
