Nav System DVD Update

I've been all over this site looking for the answer to my question. If it's there, it's well-hidden.
Two SE Michigan dealer parts/service departments do not know when, if at all, an updated DVD will be available for the 2001 GS 430.
A 'Factory rep.' was at one dealer & indicated that there is no plan to update. When I showed him the Nav. system owners manual, pg 42, which indicates annual update, he shrugged.
I just bought the car, and restaurants that have been in my area for TWO YEARS are not shown. (The version that came with my 2001 GS 430 is 2000.1)
This is not very confidence-inspiring for my planned trip to the southwest.
I tried the link to the data provider, Goegraphic.com, & it failed.
Does anyone have any factual knowledge on Navigation System DVD update, or a way to reach Toyota for an answer?
