The painted door seal on the bottom of my gs400 is starting to split and separate from the door. Its really looking ugly. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make a repair or where can I get a new one in the right color. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,
Chris

How did you fix the problem? Did you buy new ones? If so where did you buy them at and how much did it cost? I'd like to find away to get them fixed with out going to the dealer.

Thanks for the reply,
Chris

I cant beleave that we are the only two people with this problem. I take great care of my car and out of the blue the damn rubber seal splits into. Im sure this is going to cost me big time at the dealer. I wish there was and easy fix.

Default Here's how to fix it....

My car is black and the seal is black. I really got ticked when it started to tear. I got some black silicone adhesive sealant from Wal-Mart. Brand name is Permatex. 3M also has a similar product. I cleaned the seal and used a toothpick to dab the silicone on the seal. I let it dry for a minute before attaching it to the door so it was a little "tacky." Then I pressed it back together and held it for maybe a couple of minutes. Then I left it alone to dry. I left the door OPEN so the seal would not be pressed against the car and deform as it dried. Worked like a charm. If your seal is painted, get some clear silicone adhesive instead.
