Default Rear Door problems

I am having problems opening the rear door on my RX 300. I hear the door unlock but I am unable to open the door. Has anyone experienced the this problem? Is there a way I can fix it or do I need to send the truck to my Lexus dealer?

I would suggest taking it to dealer (or your preferred garage) and have it checked out, before the door gets stuck.

Seems like a binding (adjustment issue) or internal links problem.

Thanks Tammy. Looks like I won't be able to do the job myself.

I've had the same problem on mine...

very simple, the door is exerting too much pressure on the stopps and when you try to pull the latch to open it, the latch doesn't unhook.

Just try to puch "in" when lifting the latch from the outside and you will see its much easier to open.

Either that or try to adjust down the rubber door stops on the corners of the tailgate.

Cheers,

Fern
